Communications Specialist, Macalester-Plymouth United Presbyterian Church

Communications Specialist: Macalester Plymouth United Church, a progressive, justice-oriented UCC/PC(USA) congregation just off Macalester College’s campus, seeks a Communications Specialist to join a creative and collaborative staff team. The Communications Specialist is a part-time, non-exempt position. This individual will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing Macalester Plymouth’s communications, supporting worship services, programs, outreach, and various ministries. We expect the Communications Specialist to help develop an overarching communications strategy and to generate innovative ideas to promote Macalester Plymouth’s mission, ministries, and community engagement activities. Core responsibilities include managing, writing, and editing internal and external communications, which may include: bulletins, newsletters and announcements, marketing materials, website content, and social media content. The Communications Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all communications channels. Are you not yet ordained, but are certified ready to seek a call by a PCUSA presbytery?
Required: Membership Application - Certified Ready for Call
Optional: Application for Validation of Ministry - Certified Ready for Call (chaplain, professor, etc).

Submit the appropriate forms and the Committee on Membership will schedule an interview. All applicants must complete a successful background check before membership is granted. After you submit paperwork, the Stated Clerk will be in contact with you to fill out paperwork for the background check.
